I am a dedicated and hardworking writer and journalist who takes pride in my work. I have a range of professional experiences working in journalism as well as sport coaching.

 

I love human interest stories, and learning from the people around me. It's an honour to be able to tell all kinds of stories.

I'm great at working with people; communicating effectively. I’m highly organised, hard-working and creative. I have good time management skills, leadership, and adaptability skills. I am passionate about expanding my knowledge and learning new skills from a variety of professionals within the industry.

  • Collaborating with a team of two other editors and teams within the publication (social media, design, editors-in-chief etc.)

  • This has given me valuable experience working in a newsroom setting and creating exciting content for an audience.

Intern 2022

  • During my time there I worked during the live show monitoring social media feeds and taking live notes for future social media posts, website posts and podcast edits.

  • I also created interview briefs and worked on developing the Broad Radio website.

Intern 2022

  • I spent two weeks interning at ABC Central West in Orange, NSW.

  • I had the privilege of working alongside and learning from the journalists at the office and was able to create radio segments, as well as shadow working journalists throughout my two weeks.

  • After completing my internship I was offered a position as a newsroom reporter.

  • I gained an enormous amount of experience in my time.

  • Within my first month at the ABC I was working on road, covering the major flooding in the states central west including coverage from Eugowra.

  • I wrote multiple digital articles reaching large audiences.

  • I developed contacts and produced stories from those contacts.

  • Alongside those articles I created radio packages.

  • I completed live on air news chats.

  • I have read the news live for morning bulletins as well as morning headlines.

  • I have gained confidence and been successful in creating daily news bulletins.

  • I have produced both the breakfast and state wide drive show
